Application Support Specialist - Tech Support - Banking

My client is a leading provider of products and consulting services to the capital markets with offices globally. With cutting edge technology and extensive industry knowledge they are the leaders in their field.

Due to work on a major project they are looking to hire an

Application Support Specialist

The Role:

  • Delivering support to existing business users
  • Delivering L1 and L2 support, investigating and resolving application errors
  • Maintain great customer relations by providing excellent customer service
  • Work with 3rd party vendors and service providers
  • Monitor systems and applications

 

 

The ideal candidate

  • 3-5 years' experience supporting banking applications
  • Experience in Capital markets or investment markets
  • Analytical thinking
  • Problem solving experience such as debugging
  • Good understanding of IT infrastructure such as hardware, databases, operating systems and local networks
  • Some experience with UNIX and web-based technologies
  • familiar with KDB+, Linux, Nagios, JIRA or confluence
  • Excellent communication skills and fluent in English
